電影「太極」除了彭于晏、梁家輝外，男主角怪咖終於在威尼斯影展現身，原來他是奧運選手袁曉超。袁曉超習武超過10年，曾是08年北京奧運武術冠軍。 西方媒體向來對華語片的功武動作很注意，袁曉超在「太極」展現漂亮的功夫動作，被媒體視為功夫巨星接班人之一。
