對於台鐵目前的太魯閣號列車班次問題，蕭美琴也指出，這顯然是依照台北觀光客的角度在安排，沒有考慮東部民眾的實際需求。她質疑東部的民眾要至台北洽公，若想和朋友吃個飯再回家，晚上就面臨無車可搭的窘境，或只有凌晨才回到花蓮的莒光號及復興號等班次 ...
